Each spring the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) sponsors student conferences to showcase student projects and compete in the steel bridge and concrete canoe competition. The 2014 Northwest Regional Student Conference is being hosted by Portland State University in Portland on April 25 –27, 2014. The conference will be attended by over 350 students from universities from Alaska, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Montana.
