2009 STEEL BRIDGE TEAM
Every year students in Portland State University’s Civil Engineering department take part in a nationwide competition in the creation of a steel bridge. This bridge is tested in various ways including but not limited to weight, style, and ability to resist deflection. Additionally there are numerous size and building guidelines that the bridge must be able to meet. This year we are very excited to compete with a motivated team, determined team leader, and innovative design. Regional competitions will be hosted at Carroll College this year, and the top teams will then be invited to compete at the national competition in Alabama.
