HOW TO BECOME A BECOME A MEMBER OF PSU ASCE STUDENT CHAPTER

ACTIVITIES

Students get continuous exposure to industry professionals through guest lectures about the latest projects and ethical concerns, field trips to local construction sites and treatment facilities, and events involving the Oregon chapter of ASCE.

ASCE-sponsored public service and social events allow students to strengthen ties with other students and involved faculty, fostering a greater co-mingling of ideas and emphasizing leadership roles for engineers in modern communities.

REPRESENTATION

In addition to being the students' voice within the regional and national organization, the student chapter represents PSU civil engineering in competitive ways. At the regional and national conferences, the success of our concrete canoe and steel bridge teams helps indicate the overall caliber of the program.
